Yep, that strut does not look right
I would get it down to a dealership pronto and have them inspect it since the delivery dealer's prep was obviously deficient and the shocks may be damaged. Hope the 3 yr warranty is still running on it but even if it is expired Ford needs to deal with that screw up.
The shock is not in the pic, what you see is the rubber stop, the spacer and the black shock plastic cover. I removed the spacer and shoved in the rubber bit inside the hole of the top strut support. Car drives fine and changes modes accordingly.... no lights or anything. I doubt there is damage. The shocks have been just ridden on with that much less travel if you think about it...
I will enquire at the dealer tomorrow also...
Thanks

Here are some pics... Spent some of the weekend applying 2 coats of Cquartz uk 3.0 , followed by a coat of Reload (on the wheels too). I think the result is not bad...
Forgot to mention; that spoiler was a bitch to install... it has a zillion screws and some of the "j" style nuts were missing, had to buy aftermarket....

Wow!!! That black just is sexy and the white stripes makes for some beautiful contrast. That is one sexy beast!!!!!

One thing that I did which I would suggest to you would be to switch out those chrome lugs for black ones. Feel like it completed the look and made the wheels seem bigger.

Car looks great man. Congratulations. Still might go to Ford and have them inspect the shock since the spacer wasn't removed at PDI. Even if its nothing now, it might save your butt in the future if an issue occurs.

I drove home for 660 miles and my back is still hurting... extremely stiff suspension. When I got home I found out why next day

So in the pic, where is the shipping block that needed to be removed by the dealer? Is it the white block? How do u know if an R had the suspension correctly configured by the dealer?

It is that white block, kind of obvious, no? There is no "configuration" of the suspension, they just needed to remove the block, and insert the protection sleeve back into the top strut support.... Which I did myself.

Is this what it should look like? Or is that white piece supposed to be completely removed?

White block is to be completely removed. And if your's is a 2017 with any significant mileage, you should take it to the dealer to verify that no damage has been done as a result of leaving them on.

Sorry to say but you also have them on. Didn't you notice the suspension bottoming out and being extremely stiff ? :)
I would take wheels off and remove them immediately.... Check for leaks around the strut, and insert the shock stop and protector back into the top hole of the strut support. In such a way that the bump stop is unside, and the protecting sleeve stays up, and you can't see any part of the shinny strut rod...
Hope this helps.
