Thanks man! I’m hoping it will be pretty slick looking, I’ve waited 4 years to do this, so waiting a little while longer is no problem

Congrats! My sheet also has the 9/16 date on it, I said "mid-Sept" out of caution!?!
Thanks and congrats to you as well!!

I was at my dealer tonight trading in my 2016 Mustang GT and my awesome salesman informed me that I have a VIN and my car has been scheduled for build the week of Sept 23. It made my night!!

Did any of you guys that placed an order for a 2020 R find out what's changed from the 19Rs?

Nope...I believe Ford is waiting to announce the changes for 2020 R due to the late arrivals of the 2019's...All we have to go off of right now is this clip from the Hot Rod article:

That’s terrific news! I will have to check with my dealer today...did not expect scheduling to occur until mid-September. Maybe some of the threads here stating 2020 production starting around 8-12 are accurate! Exciting!

Checked with my dealer...still in “order processing” but he said system updates on Thursday nights...will keep my fingers crossed since we ordered around same time!

Not 100%, but my salesman spoke with his rep, and no significant changes for 2020. I got mine ordered at MSRP though, so not a big deal to me

The 2020 order guide posted here reflect that statement as well.

"my DORA and at the bottom it says “late availability”"

So did mine (Ordered in January & it was just built) so late availability sure was accurate for a lot of us MY19 orderers. I know early chassis # K0054 ordered in November 2018 wasn't delivered until April 2019 to my dealer.
Hope you MY20 guys fare better than we MY19 customers did. I'd ask the dealer to find out from the regional rep what late means this time.

Well FYI MSRP is going up 5K USD from 2019 to 2020... The fact Ford has people thankful for paying the suggested price is a GOD DAMN pandemic in my mind...

Correct. Which is why if I had to pay an ADM on top, I would have said take a hike. 77K is getting close to some mighty cool used car territory at that point. That is low mileage 997.2 manual Turbo territory, or even good condition used R8 territory.

So 2020 is the year for R and 2019 was for the regular 350 changes. Excited to see what changes are made on the R for 2020.

If they are charging the extra $$

As someone who bought a brand new non R i'm glad it won't be a bump in power for instance bc they would have to recertify etc. Fully expect to see some new exposed carbon wheels/wing maybe some additional aero bits in the front or DSSV damping borrowed from the Ford Gt. As much as I would of liked an R I would never track it enough to do it justice or willing to fork out all that extra $$$ after tax tag title and new MSRP for it. The thought of curbing CF rims to or getting them hit would make me sick driving it daily.
