I'm curious about this this too.Can you Post link where y’all had light discussion on why y’all went to 3.15 gear and the Benifent of the converter not being really noticeable until you put the 315 gear in. I’ve looked I don’t seee it anymore.

With the aggressive gears .73s and .10s, the converter was locking up to quick and not allowing the car to short time on it's own. With a .15 gear the car is able to utilize first gear before the converter locks up allowing it to 60ft better.I'm curious about this this too.
Gotcha. Was the car shifting before the 60? I'm eventually going forced induction on my car and I want to get things that will help my towards that. I'll probably go 3.15s regardless so I can stay out of 7th.With the aggressive gears .73s and .10s, the converter was locking up to quick and not allowing the car to short time on it's own. Yeah. with the shorter gear it was shifting in to 2nd way before the 60' killing the short time. Boosted car I would def stay with a .15 or .31 at the most.Gotcha. Was the car shifting before the 60? How's the car drive with the converter? I've driven stalled cars before but they were TH350/TH400 transmissions which are vastly different from the 10r80 lol
Yes, 18-19 Mustangs with the 10R80 transmission. David ran the 10.08 just two weeks ago down under. He has one heck of a hot rod and has it dialed in. We have worked with him over the last 6 months and he is a great guy! One thing that give the 6R80 cars an advantage is 8+ years of torque converter development. We have tried 3 different units from our friends at Circle D during the developmental process of the 10R80 torque converter and feel some tweaks in the converter alone will get us in the same 10.0X range once we get something loose enough. Congrats though is in order to him as he is only helping push everyone else to go faster. Hope this clears things up Burkey.Just for some clarity, what record are you guys claiming exactly?
David Sheehy ran [email protected] a while back.
His car is a 15-17 though so I’m not sure if you’re talking 18-19 only?
