For more clarification, I intend to DD this car, and take to some track days and autocross locally with the mustang and shelby clubs. I'd also like to maybe take it to some local car shows.

Offer them less for the 17, they will never see 58 for that car.

Does the 17 have the big screen?

Just get the 19 already
Honestly wasnt even considering the 19 until right about when I posted this. One of those "let me see what else is out there before I go sign 5 years of payments away" situations.

Looking more closely, I do think the 19 is probably the way to go. I really like saving money, but as I write it all out, I think the 19 will be more cost effective long term.

Did the 2019 engine updates do anything about the oil consumption issue? Or potential failure problems?

I would say if you can get the 17 way cheaper, than go with that, but for 58k , go with the 19. As soon as you drive that 17 off the lot it’s prob worth under 50.

The 2019 Engine did receive update and the oil consumption was addressed.

Excellent, thank you for that clarification. Actually, thats a big deal in my book...addressing the major issue with the pre-19's.

new 2018 for $55k https://www.spaethford.com/new/Ford...80a0e0adf483107955efdcbb3.htm?searchDepth=2:2

a 2017 for $58k is not a good deal. dont do it man.
Thanks for checking the pricing. I am going to text the sales guy now (he expects me to be there at 5 today for pickup) to tell him about the better price on the 19. The 17 is going to be out unless they can get down to 52K or so. I've spoken again to the sales guy with the 19. I can pick it up Saturday, as its in a neighboring state, about 4 hours one way.

As a point of reference, I got my new 2017 (1,300 miles but never titled) for $49k in January this year.

Wow....thanks for that. This one has just under 200 miles (never titled). And, youre pretty close to me, so pricing should be similar. Really appreciate that info. I think the 19 is the way to go.
