Does the shifter move? Is the car parked on an incline?

Shifter does not move. Nope car not on incline. Had two guys shimmy it also while I turned the wheel, still stuck.

I had it remote started, hubby entered the car with the fob, got something out and I relocked the vehicle. Problem started after that. Do you think we confused the system?

Yep, when you remote start you need to push the Engine Start button in order to shift out of PARK.

If locking/unlocking with the same FOB doesn't do it...try waiting the 40 minutes and see if everything resets to normal. This is what happens when you leave an interior light on...wait 40 minutes.

Best of luck.

Yes after we hit the Engine Start it still does not shift. Went back after an hour with another fob and still no go. That time not remote started. Did try several times also after remote starting and turning off - no luck

Thanks, I know we went back an hour later with a different fob but not sure if we took the first fob through the sequence again. We’ll go back and try with the first fob it has definitely been forty minutes

Brake pedal switch gone bad.
Are your taillights coming on when you press the brake?
