Steeda Clutch Assist Spring - Incompatible with 2019 GT350

Important note for anyone who might be looking to install either of the following:

Steeda Clutch Spring Assist and Perch Kit (Part Number: 555 7027)

Steeda S550 Mustang Clutch Spring Assist 35 lb/in (Part Number: 555 7022).

The clutch pedal assembly on the 2019 Shelby GT350 has been redesigned and is no longer compatible with this kit. The spring assembly as seen on the earlier models simply does not exist. There is a new torsion style spring in its place.

I've taken a couple of photos to share with those of you who may be interested.

I would love to say I knew the answer to that one. But unfortunately for me, I have been enjoying looking at my car in my garage since it was delivered this past Tuesday. I am recovering from hip surgery and won't be able to drive it for at least another 5 days.

I'll likely be with a buddy that has a '17 tomorrow so may be able to feel his clutch up a bit to compare to my '19 and give some feedback... if i remember!

I have no complaints about the '19 clutch though!

That torsion spring should be more linear, there would be no pivot point to transition past. I would suggest the Ford engineers would be listening to us and move to improve what most of us are changing.

I did see the spring assembly was different, but the clutch does not give the compound bow feel of the Boss 302 that I had.

agreed, feels "better" than my '14 track pack did.

I just took mine out i suggest just disconnecting the "hook" on this spring...

no clue really... maybe just to take all pressure off the slave?

Ditto. And I think another important take-away from this is the point of the redesign. A LOT of guys are commenting (not necessarily on here) that they just pulled the spring for '19, when in fact this is not accurate. It's a new design, but there is still something there. it's not springless.
