My 2019 Mustang GT has arrived!

After 8 months of endless waiting finally sits on dealer's parking lot.

This is good news.
Bad news is that the car was damaged during transit. The front (windshield) glass and the rear glass are scratched.

Dealership ordered both new windshield and rear glass.
Both will be changed under warranty.

And there is 78.6km on car's counter.

Should I be worried?

42.3 L per 100kms? Did they tape the pedal to the floor or something? I would question this for sure with the dealership.

How bad are the scratches?. Can those be polished? I would inquire about other options besides replacing both windshields. That’s a big job and if done incorrectly it can lead to many problems.

Scratches are not bad (deep). They were polished by specialist today, but result is not very good.
Dealer still want to change windshields.
I also don't like the idea, but it looks there is no many alternatives.

If the car was stand still with engine on, some strange values can be calculating in few minutes. It only made 4.8km in this "session" of 1h 25min. I don't know, how ECU software reacts in situation like this, so I don't intend to do big story about this at the moment.
Maybe they update some software and engine has to run while updating?
But I will ask the dealer about his explanation.

True, but it doesnt hurt to ask. Im picking up mine today also and I will pay close attention to the km's and trip computer information.

Congrats on your new car. Its an export as mine i also waited a very long time for it. They drove my car from the port to the dealer it was a 320km i hated that they should have gotten a platform for it. The glass you will need yo buy glass polisher and special pads search online you will fine them and dont worry also if the dealer changes them wonder what would scratch the glass.

What is up with 78km on the odo.. Sure its not from another dealer? We bought a new Honda back in 17 fresh off the truck and it only had 4 miles on it. So what gives..

Sucks about the scratches and the mileage. I’d definitely question them on that. Mine had 6 miles on it if I remember correctly.

Nice looking car. I would definitely let the dealership replace the damaged glass. BTW, my stang had only 18-19 kilometers on the odometer when I took delivery.

I would definitely question that mileage. Mine had about 3 miles on it when I picked it up.

I'd get those wheels with a Kona Blue if I were to get a new Mustang. They look great. I just wish they did square setups from Ford since there are people out there that like to rotate tires like me.

Congrats on the new car. Few minor issues, but easily fixable. My passenger door scratched my paint from rubbing on the inner part due to misalignment so don't feel bad.
