Yes,
It is confirmed if your dealer pays to enter the Shelby Program they will get at least 1 GT500 and 1 GT350. On average each year 2500 dealerships Enroll. The rest of the allocations will be based on previous overall mustang sales. So if you are #1 on the list at your dealer you are good to go. I wish you the best.
Just curious what confirmed data do you have that confirms that ~85% of all Ford dealerships in America have enrolled each year into the recent 5 year run for Shelby GT350 program let alone the upcoming 2020 Shelby GT500 program?

The numbers are based on the stats that get released at the end of model years. On average I have seen in the stats 2500 dealer participants and about 6,500 Shelby’s made per year even though Ford said there would only be 5,000 per year and only a two year run for the new GT350s. I only brought up numbers to say that finding one at a good deal is not as hard as people think. Dealers and some people create a panic about cars like these that fuel massive ADMs. You can get GT350s at less than MSRP now. I Maine how people who paid 30k over must feel now.

Thanks for the info as I did not know that Ford released official stats as to how many dealerships participated in their GT350 program each MY and somewhat surprised that ~85% of all Ford dealerships have joined the GT350 program since 2015.

As far as Ford producing ~6500 Shelby's per year there was only one year that met or exceeded those production numbers and that was the 2017MY with the 2018MY only producing 4357 cars not including the 21 pre-production cars built.

I would also suggest that GT350/R production numbers for the 2019MY will again follow the 2018MY with respect to much lower production numbers than the average of 6500 cars that you speak of and as announced earlier Ford plans to only produce ~2800 GT350/R's for the 2020MY.

Like many of us that have followed the inception of the GT350 program since the early Spring of 2015 I do not ever recall Ford Performance making an official announcement that the GT350 program would only run for a two year period as they did with the Boss 302 program and would like to know where you got that information from?

:)

Just to clarify, the document, the way I read it, states that 30% (840) of the 2800 proposed MY2020 GT350's will be "R's".

Awesome man!

I’m in the same boat. Heard from my dealer today, and he provided the same info. He’s getting one allocation initially and it’s mine if I want it (I do!) for MSRP. They’re out there! Helps to have existing relationships well before going into the process.

He usually sells them to me for invoice so I’m a little disappointed lol!

I don't think Ford ever made an announcement that GT350 production would be limited to two years. People just assumed that the car might be limited to a short production run. I think if the car hadn't been so terrific it might have been limited more, but since so many people ended up wanting to buy a GT350, Ford kept making them.

I agree and read it exactly the very same way as you.

How many GT350 R Mustangs were built per year since 2015 ?
For the first 4 MY's there were the following number of R models produced:

Electronic Package - 2003
Base Cars - 135
Total - 2138

The two-year production of the GT350 was Fake News spread in the Mustang community by some dealers trying to justify charging ADMs. Then reinforced by the people who paid them to feel better about their purchase. People just assumed it would be like the Boss 302 which clearly was an incorrect assumption. Instead, it's been more like the GT500 product during the S197 platform.

Any particular reason they have a "Boss 302" listed at the bottom?
Some floozy edited last year's slide and paid no attention to (likely) obsolete graphics. You have to remember, the people who edit Powerpoint slides are rarely very intelligent nor scrutinize the resulting product with due care.

I hope all Ford dealers enroll before the end of the 30 days of enrollment limit.
Why would they? Quite a few dealerships don't have the market to support specialist models if they even "carry" the Mustang beyond the EB. Sure, $2000 is a rounding error and not an imposition on any dealership's finances. But if they can potentially "only get 1 of each" there's little point. I would be surprised if much more than half of dealerships sign up for the program. Or if they "all" do, then it's under the assumption they'll use the cars for "marketing" purposes and a means of getting foot traffic in the door with the hope of selling them one of the bread and butter models.

We don't know what the dealer holdback and floor financing rates (and insurance) is for having them in the show room. These are bigger financial considerations than the enrollment "fee".

Even if the dealers' local market isn't good they most likely can sell the GT500 to a dealer in California for $5k + over MSRP.

That should likely be read as 'up to' and subject to demand trend. If there is enough demand early-on to indicate 850 or even 900 units can be sold, Ford will likely update their order pipeline in order to produce the extra parts subject to whatever covenants they have with parts vendors. But if too few people order an 'R' (say only 400 worth) then 2400 non-R can be produced and sold and any 'R'-specific parts that were ordered in excess will be carried over to next MY.

In industry a minimum production run is often 1000 units. For 'R' parts they might have covenants of initial order = 500, and successive increments of 300. 800/2800=.285 which is close enough to 30% to likely been rounded up for marketing slide purposes.
