Another vote on the Shaftmasters ALU. I've had mine on for a bit now, 100's of track passes and ten's of thousands of highway miles. They seem to stand the test of time. Not the same platform I know but might be good feedback....
Thanks for posting!

What kind of performance gains do you see with this aluminum ShaftMaster? Seems like an easy bolt on modification that I haven’t thought about.

Not sure theyre really "performance gains" but here's what I noticed/why I did it.

1. Feels much more "direct". Hard to describe but for instance when downshifting and accelerating the power/acceleration is now instantaneous. There was a small delay with the 2 piece driveshaft. It's not noticeable until after you feel the one piece lol then you will see what I mean. It's definitely a good thing.
2. Less rotational weight so theoretically less stress on the trans and less power lost to drivetrain loss.
3. Stronger and wont break under added power, especially for track use.

Thanks for the input ahl395. Sounds like a worthy mod.

How much lighter is the shaftmaster? The CF versions are not much lighter than stock

I believe they are 9 or 10 pounds lighter. Doesn't sound like alot but rotational weight is supposed to be worth alot more than regular weight.

That’s good. The CF shafts are less than 10lbs lighter than stock which is odd.

When I replaced my stock 18 A10 with the QA1 CF, I didn’t weigh each of them, but it felt like a pretty good chunk of weight difference. I guess it could have been 10lbs but felt like more. ????

Plus the NVH with the QA1 CF should be noticeably less than the aluminum in addition to the weight. Hoping mine ships this week sometime.

I ordered a QA1 for my 15’ manual back in December to replace the DynoTech I previously installed and I finally got around to installing it last week. All I can say is wow what a huge difference over the DynoTech. Absolutely no NVH (in my opinion) and it feels like the power hits smoother, almost like there isn’t the initial shock that you feel with the aluminum. If you consider the cost over the aluminum I feel it’s worth it.

Just looked up the difference. Qa1 weighs 20.5 and shaftmasters aluminum weigh 21.5. I guess the real advantage with carbon is no nvh. Stock shaft weighs 29.5

No NVH, more durable, if it fails it won't shatter and cause vehicle, body or bystander harm.

It should help but there is also no need for the loop with a CF DS.
The rotational weight savings is still there though. It’s a tough choice to make with aluminum being half the cost for just a pound heavier. Is the NVH that bad with the aluminum?
