I am considering swapping a 3.73 Torsen into my 6R80-equipped car. Who's done it and what can you tell me about it?
Right now I have the base 3.15 gears and of course the Torsen won't fit the housing. 3.55 Torsens aren't readily available although I could always buy the 3.73 housing and swap 3.55 gears into it. But doing that I feel like 1st gear would be useless anyway if I go 3.55s or 3.73s so it probably doesn't matter much. At that point I feel like 3.73s might be the better option because all the other gears 2-6 would be improved. What say you?

Yes. Boosted life. 1st-3rd are pretty useless. You auto or manual?
Ahh, I see. Yeah I'm auto. What I am really after is the Torsen diff, but it won't fit in the housing that comes with the 3.15 gears.

I believe the torsion setups go in the larger iron case. You will need the complete differential. I love my 3.55 pp1 with the A10. As stated for boost the 3.15’s are generally more desirable especially turbo setups.
