I’ve never owned a modern mustang before. I bought this car used. Can you see the lines in the picture? Is this normal for a modern mustang or did the previous owner put on some kind of a protective coat/film? It goes all the way around the car and can be seen on all the panels. I’ve never seen this on any of my previous cars before (or maybe I just didn't notice since none of my cars were bright blue). What do you guys think - Normal or protective film?

Aftermarket film, poorly applied. Congrats on the car though.

Looks like protective film installed by an amateur/cheap shop. You get what you pay for. Cleanest install is a custom job, usually runs about $2-3k nowadays just for the entire front end in Silicon valley.

I agree the install looks poor, but on the plus side it probably still did its job of keeping your pain fresh.

Yeah, I've never had paint protection on a car before but I assume having it with a less than ideal install is better than not having it at all.

Keep it unless it start to deteriorate. It will still protect the paint.

I ordered (and received yesterday) the owners kit from Shelby, which among other things, includes the original window sticker ( I am the 2nd owner) Looking at the window sticker, it seems this PPF was installed by the Ford dealer and part of the purchase of the car.

Yeah, I made an appointment for tomorrow at my local Ford dealer to fix the keyless entry and ask about the PPF but my only concern is that they might tell me I have to go back to the original dealer it was installed at
