Nice not seeing many Royal Crimson Metallic's in my area.
Initially I was somewhat reluctant to take my Royal Crimson, I was looking for Ruby Red or Lightning Blue. But now I'm very glad to have it. I have never seen another one in my travels (except for the coupe that I looked at on a lot to decide if we wanted the RC). And the selfish me says, "Never bring it back."

im curious to see if the twister orange carries over the the normal lineup of cars for 2020.
i would like to see how close this is to orange fury, and competition orange too.
all my past mustangs have been metallic red in nature except for the 12 & 15 which are comp orange.
im glad to see them offer something other than silver, white and black.
maybe they should look into the "purple" hue next time. i really liked the 1997 purple cars.....

Same. I had only seen the color online and when I first saw it in person inside the dealership I was amazed. Even more when they brought it out in the sunlight.

Based on pics of the GT500, I could go for twister orange as a replacement for orange fury. I hope it makes its way down the product line as well.

I've seen Twister Orange referred to as a metallic but it's not obvious so I assume it's the same kind of tri-coat metallic as Orange Fury. It looks to be shifted slight more toward red.

As long as they don't offer a Highland Green (Dark Highland Green or the BRIGHT Highland Green that's on the '19/'20 Bullitt) as a standard color, I'm OK with color changes.
If I didn't have a Bullitt I'd be in the market for an ACTUAL orange color or preferably a dark blue that wasn't PURPLE. It's been a LONG time since Ford offered REAL blue. I HATE "blurple"!!!!!
Next best color was Royal Crimson, even though I'm an Auburn fan. (It's a Southern thing) Of course Ford wants to discontinue it.

I see one convertible in my area. Occasionally he waves at me.

Hardly a week or day goes by where someone doesn't say something about the Ruby Red color. And if the car gets dirty people get upset with me.

But I think all the colors they come out with look good.

Ford needs to bring Lightning Blue back as it looks better than Velocity and even more so Ford Performance Blue. I don't get Ford Performance's desire to have a grey blue that looks more at home on an 80's Escort than a high performance sports car. The only time Ford Performance Blue looks good is at night as sunlight really washes it out.

I am hoping the red is like what Lexus has. Bright!

Obviously not the same lighting or even close, but even in this comparison to my car the Twister Metallic looks more "Competition Orange" with some metallic flake in it than the almost yellow'ish appearance that Orange Fury can take on in certain lighting.

Ruby is the best color on these cars when clean w/o a doubt. Mistake getting rid of it. Will have to see how red hot metallic looks, but that Ruby tri-coat is very special.
Agreed. Ruby red looks fantastic. That and Kona blue are my personal favorites.

If Kona were available on the regular, non-Limited edition 50th cars in 2015, I'd probably have that color. I still love Guard, though.

a forum member has both comp orange and orange fury cars side by side. you can see clearly the difference in them.
to me if the lighting is even slightly off it still looks like a hue of orange fury, not comp org. comp org is hard to photo, mostly because it looks red when you take a pict,
however this new twister orange has a yellow hue to it, so it will still be interesting to see side by side. similar to the grabber orange from 07-09, its basically the orange fury except without the metallic features....
and im sure a better paint process.

interested in the new red metallic coming out....maybe something like the torch red but in metallic form, that would be awesome.
