I'm sorry but there is nothing special with this GT 500. It's even less special when you compare it to everything else that is already out there. In my opinion, Ford dropped the ball BIG TIME! I don't think anyone has to worry about huge dealer mark ups on this "special stang".

It is absolutely not disappointing! Only thing disappointing that I noticed is that the front turn signals appear to be the "older" style with incandescent bulbs. The new LED style front turn signals on 18"+ Mustangs look way better and for the GT500 to not get those is a shame. Hopefully since the pre-production models were shown, the actual production ones get the newer LED style ones.

It doesn't beat the demon on the strip or a zo6 on the track. It might not even beat a zl1 camaro any where. Please help me, "what's so special"?

It probably will not beat the Demon, but how do you know that it won't beat a ZL1 or a Zo6???

1. HP to weight ratio. 2. Will it be able to put the power to the ground? 3. We all are missing any specific performance #'s.

Overall I like it. I would give it an 8/10.

A manual would make it a 9. It may be a deal breaker for me.

Brakes look great, DCT is nice if you like NOT shifting.

The rear end needs some work and the headlights are old school. That cheap gear selector, what a joke.

I'd like to know who gives the go-ahead to design these cars and go into production?

I have a Z06 and it's already Sub 3.5 and Sub 11's with ONLY 650HP, and I have a Manual.

I'm very skeptical about this GT500 being faster than my Z. My Z06 is way lighter and probably handles better.

Would have never bought it if only an automatic.

I'm somewhat disappointed but I would say a Small win for Ford. I'll call it a Double or Triple.

Definitely not a Home run or Grand Slam like the Z06 was.

You can probably buy Two Camaro ZL1's for the price you'll pay for a GT500 with ADM.

I'm not a hater. I own 2 fords and enjoy them both. I've had my S550 for almost 4 years and plan on keeping it for atleast another 4. I am some what of a FORD fan boy but I just dont see what's so special!
What it do in the 1320? Please share.....
Help you? Another hobby possibly in the future?

It has 700+hp. It will never put all the power to the ground. However it should still be very fast.

About the missing performance numbers, that is what I am saying, we don't know just how fast/slow it will be.

We all know how bad the s550 wheel hops when it breaks loose. What did ford do to resolve that with the with the GT 500 and its 701+ hp?
