I was hoping it would be a little wider to so they could put 325 or 335 tires on the rear.I was comparing this recent photo against from GT350 pics at roughly the same angle - this doesn't look like there's any additional rear fender width, but I realize it might be hard to see (or compare) without two photos at the exact same angle, scale, etc.
I had hoped it wouldn't be the same at the GT350 with only different front fenders vs. the GT.

It sure is easy to pick a specific period of time when discussing production numbers of the Challenger versus the Mustang especially when Ford has not even produced a single 2019 GT350 or R model let alone the long delay for the upcoming GT500.Ford would make much more, and the dealers less if Ford would build to demand. Like Dodge with the Hellcats. No wonder Challenger is outselling Mustang lately.
I just can't understand Ford acting like the GT350 is built of unobtanium when there could be so many more sales. Just imagine where the production numbers will be for Ford when FR finally launches the 2019 GT350/R this Spring and eventually builds the new GT500 simultaneously later this year.
Just to keep all recent production numbers for the Challenger and Mustang in perspective the Challenger was not even close to the Mustang this last production year (2018) as Ford produced over 9000 more Mustangs compared to the Challenger and from a percentage standpoint that comes out to ~14% more than the Dodge Boys could produce and sell all while not one Shelby GT350/GT500 was produced.
If you don't think that Ford can't ramp up production when they want to just look at the 2007 GT500 production numbers which totaled almost 11,000 cars for one MY.
If you want to take production numbers a step further with respect to the last 10 production years between the Mustang and Challenger it is almost embarrassing for the Dodge Boys as Ford has produced ~65% more Pony Cars than the Challenger ~(330,000 cars) over the last 10 years.
If anyone thinks that the Challenger will ever outsell the Mustang over the long term they best think again.
