A GT3RS costs around $200K, I would think you could pick up a $70K GT500 and make a few mods to match the GT3RS performance if that was your goal and still be almost $100K better off.
That’s not at all why were talking about the GT3.

It was brought up earlier and if the means were there, it was to purchase a GT3 over the 500.

I would no doubt, and many people who actually can would. Let it be known I absolutely can’t buy a GT3 lol. Can dream though.

The GT3 RS engine just has me in love with it. Did you know it’ll make full power in a hot day in Death Valley on premium fuel? This is straight from Porsche’s mouth.

It also has built in Ram air, and with estimates it actually hits 550-560 hp on a temperate day at speeds. How insane Is that for a 4L NA.

Edit:

“We asked Preuninger about the future of the GT3, specifically about electrification and the continued use of naturally aspirated engines. The GT3 is the only Porsche left that doesn't use a turbocharger. It's 4.0-liter flat-six makes 520 very healthy horsepower (Preuninger says that's a summer in Death Valley rating. In moderate climates the car makes a bit more).“

To be fair, I’m confident a GT3RS will beat a GT500 in every metric as long as the 500 is on stock rubber not a drag slick.

A stock RS can do 11.0@129! That’s insane.

If the 500 can do 129 in the quarter, that’s blistering. Hopefully it can.
I feel like it will do more than that. I have a 3700lb car making 600 to the wheels on street tires = 131mph.

Yeah. Good comparison.

So in terms of the 500, it might be 650whp and 300-400lbs more. It’ll be close, very close.

You realize NA 5.0 2018s with the A10s and a few bolt ons are doing 10s at 130mph too..........

Between the NA 18s doing 10s pretty easily with a few bolt ons and GT350 prices that are coming down a FI GT350 sounds way more attractive than a new GT500 give that its going to.....

A. Have a gigantic ADM cost.
B. Bordering on being a bust since its so late and personally I dont think its going to be enough to set itself apart from what a regular 5.0 and a blower is capable of given how gigantic the price will be.

Im affraid that the GT500 is going to be an 80k joke that would get stomped on a road couse by a modded FI GT350 or stomped at the drag strip by a 2018 A10 car with a blower for wayyyyyyyy less cash

The 2020 GT500 will run the 1/4 mile in 10.5 or less.

Some might think this is cool but I only see the negative. It's not the first time Ford is going to screw us over. Sending this car to B-J is just a way for Ford and Dealerships to figure how much dealer & resaler markup can be added. Sometimes I swear FORD actually HATE us. For the last 30 years I thought GM hated us because of what they did to my hometown, now I'm starting to think Ford is worse.

That’s fine, there’s always someone who wants the lesser automobile.
And here you compare the Porsche which is way more expensive to the ford..

Plus don’t even know what the 500 can do. Nor have you seen a clear look at it. But ok...
A) I didn't bring the Porsche up.

B) GT3 is 190K-ish, GT500 may well sell for 120+ with ADM. Hardly twice the price. Much more valid comparison than the SVJ which is $520K for 2019, if you have some basic math skills.

And there's more on this earth than performance figures for a vehicle. Quality, fit and finish, pedigree, all of which the Porsche handily beats anything Ford is going to produce with(maybe) the exception of the GT.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Mustang, but I'm also realistic about what it is... Junk compared to most higher end European cars.

If you think that ADM was ever "reasonable" on these cars in the first place.

You could argue that it MIGHT be justifed on the 500. The 350s? Nah.

We will see what they sell for..

Right, and 500 is going to be a more specified and unique mustang than the 350.

Clearly you should research the 350 more and the pool of folks who bought them which in turn drove the ADM.

If the 500 kept the FPC and she'd weight it may draw the same buyer pool but it won't.
