BMR-SM760 Rear Upper Shock Mounts: Design and Testing Completed!
Over the past few years we have not been in a rush to release shock mounts simply because the stock mounts work great and are fine for most. We have seen offerings that are a replica of the factory offering, except stronger. While strength is great - the factory mounts work as intended. When you put damaging shock loads into the system from bottoming out your shock, they fail as they should instead of ripping your inside wheel wells apart.
Due to OE stock mounts failing because of improper shock travel in many systems out there, BMR decided to work up a shock mount kit that improves bump travel availability. So not only do you eliminate the rubber on the stock system, but you also gain shock travel. For most lowered cars out there, your rear shocks will have the STOCK SHOCK TRAVEL when you use these new BMR-SM760 Mounts.
This industry first design features an FK Bearing Co. Teflon Lined Rod-End that threads on to your stock, Ford Performance or Viking Shock. To secure it, you place the BMR Stainless Steel bump stop shoulder on to your shock, thread your jam nut down and then the rod-end. (pictures below)
We will also be providing O-Rings with the kit to eliminate NVH increase and also help seal the bearing.
PRICING and ETA will be updated in this thread soon. We expect to start taking orders and shipping early Q1 of 2019.
Thanks for all of you who support BMR and enable us to continue providing new and innovative offerings for your S550 Mustangs!
