Made a trip to the track last night again to give the base revision E85 tune on my 3.875 pulley a shot.
Last week I went 10.20 @138mph on 93 octane, the two changes for this visit were installing the Viking Crusader B358AM shocks (GREAT addition!) and to put a tank of E85 (tested E80) and plugged in Jon Lund's initial E85 tuneup to get some data.

1st pass the car hooked well with a 1.53 60' and went 10.1 @ 141mph, it banged the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift but kept plugging after that.

2nd pass to sidestep around the Revlimiter I manually shifted it the whole way through, anxiously shifting the 1-2 at 3800. [email protected]. 1.59 60’.

I emailed my logs to Jon and already have the shift strategy revisions and tune cleanup back!
HUGE Thank you to Jon Lund and separately Curtis/Mustang Mods on this forum for helping me get it down the track cleanly on this phase.
I’m about ready to put in the smaller 3.625 pulley.

Wow....just....wow. Love that mph! Next on the agenda is updated tune then track or smaller pulley then track???? Based on the condensation, I'm guessing the DA wasn't so great either...

damn man!
Should be easy 9's with the 3.625 pulley. I am thinking of following your lead, skipping the PBD race gas tune( I will have to figure out what to do with the case of boostane and jugs of race gas in my garage.lol), I had planned and just going straight to E85 since I already have the ID's and a BAP.

Getting that shift dialed in is going to get you in the 9s, nice!

I plan on attending a track rental to test the 3.625 on E85 on the 22nd

Yeah, that is what I did straight to E85 if it is available to you it is a much better option IMO as long as you have the fuel system that can keep up with the extra fuel demand...

To me, E85 is safer and much cheaper than the race gas option or octane boosters etc.

I put down 800 rwhp and 609 rwtq SAE on a dynojet in 6th gear... I went with ID1050x injectors, JMS Powermax BAP, and 3.625 pulley. My other mods are ARH long tube headers with hi flow cats (thinking about gutting them) and just the Stage 2 Whipple kit on my 18 GT.

Now I did a pull in 7th and but was only able to take it up to 7100 (180mph) and the car was making 806 rwhp and 629 rwtq to give you an idea to compare the 6th gear pull at that same 7100 rpm my best 6th pull was at 774 rwhp so a difference of 32 rwhp so I think it is safe to say the car would have been in the 830 rwhp if I could have taken 7th gear to 8000 rpm. Tuning is being done by PBD.

That’s nasty !
I think I will take your advice.

I was just curious to see what a race gas tune would make compared to the whipple tune with the same fuel system(DW400 and injectors that ship with the stage 2)....but might as well jump to E85 which I have available since I already have the ID 1050 injectors . I also need to know if I can use my old VMP BAP or I have to do the JMS BAP.
I could always switch my second to tune to 93(from race gas) in case I need to make a long trip.

Also good to know PBD will tune for E85 with BAP/ID1050’s as I was not sure.

Did you do OPG/CS upgrade ?
Any 1/4 mile times yet ?

I haven't been to the track since doing these mods I still want to do half shafts and drive shaft first as well as get some sticky tires... that will be coming soon hopefully.

I did the CS gear upgrade but not the OPG...

I may go back with the cleaned up revision E85 tune with the with 3.875 but I kind of want to put on the 3.6 if I’m going to go there and beat the car up.. :)
