It won’t be less than 4100lb for the “non-R”.3800 for a blown 2+2 would be ideal. We'll see what they're able to get to. I'm guessing in the 3900-3950 range.

Then Ford will have massively failed. You can supercharge a 350 and get way under 4k especially if you lighten up a few areas Ford themselves could have done better. It won’t be less than 4100lb for the “non-R”.
Wow, that's good news then! Then Ford will have massively failed. You can supercharge a 350 and get way under 4k especially if you lighten up a few areas Ford themselves could have done better.
Both dealers I'm in line with tend to agree as well, if it's over 4k the very small ADM agreement goes out and it's a sticker order.
Well they did release the PP2 without trans or diff coolers, as well as launch the 2018 5.0L engines for the F150 and Mustang with known significant issues. Don't put it past them to fail under this far from visionary leadership team. Then Ford will have massively failed
What "known significant issues" are you talking about? I haven't seen anything on the 5.0s other than a few isolated casesWell they did release the PP2 without trans or diff coolers, as well as launch the 2018 5.0L engines for the F150 and Mustang with known significant issues. Quite a large number (R/1000) of dropped valves. What "known significant issues" are you talking about? I haven't seen anything on the 5.0s other than a few isolated cases
Only because of the volume differences (V8 F150s sell ~40-50% more than all US Mustangs). The failure mode is the same.Hmm, I haven't even heard a peep about that. Is it moreso with the F150s than the Mustangs?
Wow. If you’re now sour on the brand that doesn’t bode well. I relied on your posts for a reality check. Sobering news here.Well they did release the PP2 without trans or diff coolers, as well as launch the 2018 5.0L engines for the F150 and Mustang with known significant issues. It certainly isn't the Ford that Mulally led.Wow. If you’re now sour on the brand that doesn’t bode well. I relied on your posts for a reality check. Sobering news here.
This is also my very strong impression. It certainly isn't the Ford that Mulally led.
Some are bullish, more are in a constant state of SMH.This is also my very strong impression.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe you previously worked for Ford and still have contacts within the company.
Can you provide any insight into the current state of mind/attitude/enthusiasm of the product development/engineering/performance teams regarding the Mustang and future vehicles.
To use a Peter DeLorenzo term...how do the “True Believers” feel?
