The rear springs on the frpp are progressive crap with a rate of 400lbs-900 Final. The factory springs are more of a duel rate with higher spring rate initial and final.

Now with bmr 980lbs linear rate through out the compression is what I am looking for. Nice FIRM predictable ride.

Is like most people here say the eibachs are firmer than the factory springs while the eibachs front spring rate is a lousy 145lbs-200lbs. Some people just don't FEEL the suspension and go by if it's aftermarket is better.

Track this weekend!

xXANCHORMONXx ready for battle this weekend on our SPH765 springs!

Maybe he will provide some good feedback in here after thrashing on them.

I see what you're saying. So what would be the benefit of the beehive shape? to allow for more travel?
My understanding is that beehive valve springs allow for a smaller retainer size, thus reducing the amount of mass that is moving in the valve train. However, I think the beehive design may have come and gone (been replaced with something better).

I could see similar reasoning being used for the springs in the rear of a car. Smaller ends allow for smaller buckets to retain the spring, which might reduce un-sprung mass in the car's suspension. This is all just a guess though. It's possible there's some entirely different reason for the spring design that I'm missing.

A spring is typically only variable rate if coils bottom out during compression, essentially reducing the number of active coils as the spring is compressed.

Kelly, I'm not well versed in the linear vs progressive spring department. Are these springs designed to be mostly for aesthetics, better driver to car feel, more drag strip oriented, or a combination of all the above?

Depending on your response I'll need a set ASAP before I install BK055.

Thanks

Spent some time with this car today. These springs are a homerun.

As for the questions, I'll try my best to catch up to them tomorrow.

Any comparisons to the R springs that are on the R yet? Looking for a bit more lowering and performance.

Anyone bought these yet? Are they available as of now? I have a friend that just bought a 18 and needs to lower it. I told him wait for BMR.

We have sold through our full first batch and are on to the second batch - so yes, many people have them now.

People have to call us to order them - they are BMR-SPH765 for the handling.

I also have a "drag" version available for the few people who want to drag race their MagneRide cars.

I have purchased a set for my Magneride ā€˜18. I got the fronts installed Monday and those damn splined spindle bolts kicked my ass. Iā€™ll take some pics this evening and Iā€™m going to try to do the rears tonight. So far the ride is smooth with just the fronts.
