Even the aircooled turbos are slow by today's standards, but its an apple to oranges comp.

I'd do an add, but not sell the R for it. If it was my main fun car after the project is done I'd have a really hard time taking that big of a drop in power and suspension tech etc.Killing me. I just need to get a ride in one. I hate that everyone says hey are slow lol.
I might have missed that part, sorry if I did.I thought you were going to do both.....
Nope, it was via text. I encouraged diversity.I might have missed that part, sorry if I did.
That was exactly my feeling when I drove one.Drove my friends’s Dads air cooled 911. Last yr they made it. Pretty car. I hated it. Clutch was the heaviest ever. Power was underwhelming. Handled well as expected. A chore to drive. Couldn’t wait to get out of it.
That a pepper, just like any true car buddy should!Nope, it was via text. I encouraged diversity.
I like the idea of owning a classic or older sports car more than the reality of it. Every time I drive one I leave feeling pretty much how you did. If I got a classic car I'd most likely need tens of thousands to replace the motor, suspension and interior to modern standards (not to mention restoring other things, body, electrical etc etc). Then obviously what is the point.Drove my friends’s Dads air cooled 911. Last yr they made it. Pretty car. I hated it. Clutch was the heaviest ever. Power was underwhelming. Handled well as expected. I'm the opposite. I don't have any time/desire to wrench. And older cars become potential money pits.I like the idea of owning a classic or older sports car more than the reality of it. I would like to do this to a 68 or 69 Camaro as that is probably my favorite body style of all time. I know sacrilegious to say that on a Mustang forum. ;)
