I like to disassemble things.
Jack Roush Jr put the Kohr Motorsports GT4 Mustang on the pole at VIR today. Just as important, note the new sponsor on the hood, front and center! Nice move George!

2017 Ford Shelby GT350, 1989 Ford Mustang LX coupe
Good racing today for Dean & Jack Jr. Finished 3rd in class due to back to back full course cautions (& the 2nd place Camaro that should have been black flagged for the loose rear bumper cover dragging the track for the last 1/3rd of the race). Still a good showing for the KohR Motorsports team! The Volt Mustang was running 5th but got run off track & crashed, unfortunately ending their day early.

Interesting to me that they do not run strut tower braces. Is this for homologation reasons, class rules, or does the seam welded chassis and cage make it useless?
Anybody know the answer?

Lots to add when I get back home but here's a quick clip of the brand new GT4 Kohr Racing car that MGW's new company "Scudo" is sponsoring.

I noticed in a video of another gt4 (all red car) that they have a very loud exhaust note at lower rpm, even this one sounds unusual at low rpm almost like it's missing and backfiring. Wonder what all is causing that?

Trust me, it is tuned to run just right given the rule constraints.

Oh I don't doubt it's tuned correctly. I'm just curious why it sounds the way it does. Which sounds kind of unhealthy at times. It's also obnoxiously loud in the low side of the midrange.

No cats, Mustang GT intake tract, restrictor in place at the throttle body, firing order, race mufflers, and the tune are the difference that makes it sound the way it does. Power curve is essentially flat from 5k up.
