Anybody have any real life track time on these tires yet? Will be replacing my RE11s on my Mustang and my F1s on my Focus ST soon and was wanting some real reviews from the everyday folks on here not some professional driver.

Everything I've read is they're on par with the MPSS in nearly all aspects, including track manners.

I will be at the ROVAL at Charlotte with these Saturday. And also 305 square NT01s if I bring that set of wheels. Really annoying lugging 4 305 wheels and tires in the car...

On the street, from the Ford dealer I had them installed at (through Gary L. at Nalley Ford Sandy Springs) to where I keep my Mustang, they felt soft - so like 20 miles. The next day I drove maybe 50 and they started feeling much better. I did realize I underestimated how good potentially the Conti DW tires were as I was expecting much more, but these tires seem to be breaking in and they have a feeling of a more complete grip - like there isn't any sort of "skiddy" feeling that the Conti DWs sometimes had (probably because of the wide as hell grooves equaling less tire contact). Some rain I hit, they did fine but I think the Conti DW were better the same situation - that's my memory anyway. They'll certainly be broken in Saturday.

They are quieter than the Conti DWs except for roads that have that certain characteristic that kind of causes tires to "ring" and there's a few spots like that on 400N coming from Atlanta and damn do they tires make a ringing sound. They are over-inflated by 3-4 psi thanks to the dealer so that could be it. Plus they're wrapped around very light wheels... probably doesn't help.

I was REALLY hoping for a little more immediate turn-in response and I'm not feeling that just yet. They're supposed to have firmer sidewalls... so... we'll see. I guess I really liked the Pirelli PZero rock hard sidewall.

A few weeks back various sizes of this tire were available from cwo and directtire at half price. I got 2 255/40s for my front rims for $232 w/free shipping..May be some deals still out there. A member on here even a posted a link to the sale. Can't say anything for the performance as Ive yet to mount them but I will say they do measure smaller than my stock pirelli's in the same size.

I got them in 285/35/19. Have only run them at 1 track day, but I did get first place in my class with them! LOL The sidewalls seem pretty stiff (but I'm comparing to my pirelli 285/40/19 which rolled over a lot). So the stiffer sidewall is nice on the track, and seems like there is quite a bit of lateral grip as well. I'll take some better pictures later of the wear. But so far, I like them!

The wheels are XXR 19x9.75". Yes, I think we mean the same thing, the sidewall was just a little too soft. I knew they were not really the right size when I bought them, especially for the track. But at $99ea tire I couldn't pass them up! And I got my use out of them;)

Yeah I got the same deal on the same tire but have decided to put them on my 19x11s. Gonna have the stretched look a bit I guess so maybe mine wont roll as much. Thanks for the info and Op dont mean to clutter your thread

You guys got the continental extreme sports for $99 each? Where? I'll order some right now lol. I dont track but I have had trouble getting good traction with my bf Goodrich comp 2 summer tires so I wanted to get the continental extreme sports.

I'm running 255/40/19 on the fronts and 275/40/19 on the rear. Maybe a dumb question but would it mess up the balance of the car if I put 285/35/19 on the rear?

No, not me. I got a set of Pirelli P-Zero 285/40/19 (a little too tall of a tire) For $99ea because they were from 2013. What I heard was they were left over OEM porsche tires, hence the cheap price. The class I run in requires 220 or higher treadwear tires.

I think you'd be fine with a 285/35/19 on your stock 9.5" wheels.

No. I got the pirelli pzero 285/40/19 for $65+$30 shipping each from tirerack a month ago. They were closeouts. ..Now a few weeks ago I got the continental extremecontact sports for $112 a piece including free shipping. Got those new from CWO on ebay a few weeks ago in a 255/40/19.
Now a 285/35 would probably be ok for you. Speedo be off a bit but have more low gear I guess.

Now I'm jealous! I paid about $250ea for the 285/35/19 Continental Extremecontact sport a couple weeks ago. Better than 300+ ea Michelin prices, but still...
