Dr. ColorChip touch up paint Review (Video)

Whats up guys! I've been hearing a lot about issues with chipping and for me it has been the worst on the hood of the car. So I did some research and found that Dr. ColorChip touch up paint had some pretty good reviews and decided to try it for myself.

I dont like clear bras because you can always see the lines and the dirt that builds up around them. Thanks for the tip tho...

Thanks for checking it out! That looks legit, but id have a hard time trowing spray paint on the car when this is a pretty quick and simple process.

Yeah, if I bought a 17 it would only be for the grabber blue color, but its realy no different than the '15 I already have with 13kmiles. My reasoning for the 18 is the reworked fuel system, extra HP, digital gauges, active exhaust, straightened rear suspension, and magnaride. If they had all of that on the 17 id be sold already.

those chips were pretty deep, you usually have to do a few fills to get it to be more level. Cant get it perfect but its tough to see once touched up.

Thanks for the tip! probably hit them with another layer before my next car show and see how much it helps. Honestly looking at the hood now people wouldn't know they were there unless I pointed them out.

Dr. Colorchip is a good product but I think the Langka system has advantages with small numbers of chips. It is more labor intense which is a drawback when fixing road rash.

Langka is easier than Dr. Colorchip to avoid paint in the chip not being at the same level as the surrounding paint, so better for invisible repairs. Dr. Colorchip requires more skill to get that.

Langka is relatively cheap if you have multiple cars of different colors. Langka is not a paint but a system that uses whatever paint you have. So the materials can be used on all your cars. For paint, you just use whatever touch up paint in your color with the Langka system. That's also key if you have custom paint since Dr. Colorchip only offers factory colors.

I'm not recommending one over the other, just mentioning an alternative.

I've used it on my Metallic 2016 & I've been happy. I also have a bunch of quarrys nearby, so I check things out before any waxing.

So does Dr CC self level once it’s applied, or do you have to do multiple applications to build up the color repair so it’s at the surface level of the clear (IF the chip is deep)?
