Hi All
Since I fitted my FR/Roush supercharger I have been thinking I need to lower the 3.73 Axle Ratio to give me better 2nd and 3rd gearing to complement the power. Has anyone attempted this and any recommendations would be welcome.

Our export mustangs run the Ford Traction LOK LSD with clutch pack. Not the Ford Torsen diff as per the USA market Performance pack cars.

Export diff - http://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-34spline-88-irs-diff-2015gt.html

USA Performance pack diff -http://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-34spline-88-irs-torsen-diff-1516.html

Note the price difference.....

if you plan on a better diff you should look at skipping the Ford Torsen and moving direct to a Quaife ATB or Wavetrac Torsen as they are going to handle big power better and thus give a longer life for a similar price -

I really don't like the diff in our mustangs at the moment. It is too unpredictable on locking and unlocking and has spat me in the wrong direction a few times when coming off the power from a good slide. I think this is the reason most mustangs crash and end up where you least expected especially in the wet.

I will be looking to get a proper plated LSD have been wondering if I can adapt this Supra one to fit in the pumpkin.:headbonk:

Out of interest Guy, what bits are you rocking under the car at the moment suspension wise?

The suspension mods at the moment are:

KW Clubsport 2 Coilovers with (Steeda Rear Billet Top Mounts to fit)
AFE Sway Bars
Powerflex Subframe and Diff Inserts.
Wheels are 20x10.5 Square on 275/35 mpss (Thinking of changing to 20x10 square.)

This is fairly light and have more to add. As I am still finding it getting a bit wobbly when pushing hard round twisting corners and weight transfer.
Steering lock is also diabolical, so going to see what we can do there.
I feel as if we may have something like these roush lock stops fitted to our stangs?

As I can't imagine what the steering would be like if you were to also add these!

Ok sweet. The reason I asked is because I also like to drive the car "SLIDEways"
My first mod was lowering springs (day 2) and I also found the car unpredictable. Added sways, better, but still a little wrong.
The genuine "OMG THIS IS IT" moment came when I fitted the LCA bearing, toe knuckle bearing, camber arms and toe rods. The car is now completely predictable.
What I'm saying is I'd be most likely looking at other areas before committing to a new diff. Just saying.
