Depends on what you want from a kit. For the most part, I only heard my Krona kit from inside the cabin, but one day I had a buddy drive it around the block for me... it was by far the deepest tone I've heard on any kit and I found a new reason to love it that day.So... I think I have it narrowed down to 3 systems. At least till someone mentions something else I haven't heard of but trust me when I say "I doubt it".
1: Solo Performance Mach XV
2: Krona Performance
3: Solo Performance Mach Thunder.
I pretty much at a point to just throw them all in a hat and pick at random.
I'm starting to lean more this direction. I reached out to them and asked why they didn't go with an X-pipe. They said at first they did but when they tried their cross chamber they gained 7hp at the tires. Appears that I cant go wrong with this system.Depends on what you want from a kit. 304 stainless and lifetime warranty too. Can't speak highly enough of the work Matt does.
What didn't you like about the Solo?I was in the same boat. Bought an MBRP..swiched to a solo performance mach thunder and now just bought a Corsa Xtreme. So my Mach Thunder w/ black tips will be coming off here in a few weeks. Theres a scratch on the underside of the right tip though about 3 inches long :(
Oh i loved it. I got a deal on it at the time i was looking for a new exhaust. What didn't you like about the Solo?
I have the Corsa Sport axleback. Zero drone at all. Not even the slightest hint. Corsa's own video of it is the closest to how it sounds in real life from the outside. I'll PM you a link to an interior sound video of mine.Thoughts on the Corsa sport axleback (those are the mufflers on the extreme catback right?), Borla Atak axleback, or the Roush axleback? From what i read none of those produce any drone. I've watched a ton of YouTube videos, but never heard them in person.
When you're on the throttle more than ~1/3, there's nothing quiet about this one, though never OTT obnoxious (Xtreme, Roush + resonator delete), even at WOT. It is significantly louder outside than it is inside the car, which is kind of a signature of the design which directs sound rearwards so well. At light throttle it won't attract hardly any attention, though (which is nice). The Borla will definitely be louder inside the car all the time, with close to similar volume. The Roush AB will be just a little louder than the Corsa Sport AB or ATAK AB.Thank you. My biggest worry is getting something that ends uo being too quiet and then being stuck with it bc the axlebacks all install at different points.
Interested in selling the Solo?Oh i loved it. I got a deal on it at the time i was looking for a new exhaust.
