I'll be pouring a new slab in my entire garage soon, so I think that will be the time to do a DIY epoxy job. There are some vendors over at garagejournal.com that have some interesting products....people there with good experiences (mostly).

For my client the Race Deck was 60% of the cost of the epoxy. The tiles look good and are easy to install but the lighter colors are not going to wear well with heavy traffic or fluids.
My experience is the black tiles are the hardest to keep clean...gray hides dirt the best and red is similar.

There's always going to be people that don't follow directions and just dive in, then leave bad reviews saying the product is crap for their ignorance

Also been watching some threads where people install porcelain tile - very durable and looks great!

I did epoxy in my shop office and bathroom, the stuff from the home stores, It worked perfect! I'm going to build a shop at my house next and ill probably just polish the floor and call it good.

Now that I agree with  A nice tile floor in the garage would be killer for sure.

Bought a lithium leaf blower today and went over and cleaned all the little pieces up from cutting the tiles. Man I'm happy with the way it turned out! Also bought 4 rolls of gardening fabric and we're going to do my home garage tomorrow :headbang:

I also did DIY epoxy from big box store and it's holding up great. I started with a really bad surface and it turned out better than expecteded. Only downside is the kits don't go far at least on my rough surface. plan for half the coverage they tell you unless you have a newer pad.

 looks good aside from the blotchy flakes but I'm sure that's not easy to keep even. That's what's in my garage now and it looks to have been professionally done I just don't like the look of it. It's tan, you can see all the scratches in it and we'll I'm just not a fan  It's gotten me to this point though pretty well and sure beats having a bare or cheap painted floor.

Got my home garage done today :headbang: Sooooo much better than the Tan Epoxy that's under it... Now I just have to clean it out more when I get home. Just kinda threw stuff back in there since I had to leave.

My Home Garage

The current situation...

Kinda Clean / Way Bland

The R is put away for winter and my wife gets the other half for her toy. I priced a four post lift and may just add that. The R will go up top and I'll park my daily under it. The plan is convert this "boring & bland" space into a cool area to park our cars and socialize with other car friends.

She's a tight, tight fit, but I made it work!

...and when I say tight, I mean tight. I can't even fit my fingers between the top of the R and the bottom of the rails. And, there is about 1/2 inch clearance with the ceiling once the top car is raised off the locks.

Measure twice, pray once. :D
