I have a '16 PP with 3.73s, about 2200 kms on it so not broken in yet. Totally stock at the moment.

I get 9.0 L/100 km (about 26 mpg US) on the 4 lane highways at 75 mph but with mixed driving it is getting a little over 10 L/100 km (about 20-21 mpg US). That's a little worse than the '11 Brembo with 3.73s I traded on it. It's also nowhere near broken in yet but I'm not expecting, or really care much about getting it any better than that.

I'm still very shocked that I'm getting basically what the brochure says (and how often are those ever right?)

On paper, I'm getting 21mpg around town and if I go on a trip, I'm seeing upwards of 29mpg on the highway.

I fuel up once a week, depending on how much I'm rolling around but a week is 5 days to work and back with one short highway trip on Mondays to check my mail.

Worst I've gotten was 220mi out of a tank, but that was me romping around with the fun pedal. Best was 315mi. and that time I wanted to see how long I could go before I really got in trouble. Low fuel light generally comes on at a quarter tank with 50 miles to empty and usually by that point, I've driven 240-250miles.

Personally, I wish the low fuel warning came on at an eighth of a tank instead. You can keep driving for a fair distance after the warning has sounded.

P.S. - I've found I get better mileage when running Premium. The tank I got 220mi out of was experimenting with regular gas. I don't notice any difference in power, but you certainly notice the hit in economy.

Save your money, premium fuel isn't going to give you any extra mileage.

It's all in your right foot.

My 2016 GTPP with 3.73's is averaging right at 21mpg with 40% city, 60% highway. I don't baby it.

On road trips at 70mph I'm getting an honest 26.5mpg.

I only run 87 octane.

I drove to my hometown this summer (about a 650 km trip one way). I drive anywhere from 100 - 140 kms/hrs. I got 8.5 l/100kms. so that 27 mpg or there-about.

I have a MT and 3.31 gears.

Works for me. Better than I ever thought I would get..

2016 GT Premium PP with Recaros. I have an 83 mile round trip commute about 50/50 town/highway. Always use cruise when I can set at 72mph. Best I've gotten is 356 to the tank (about 24.4 mpgs). But I also auto-cross the car about twice a month during the season. Even then the mpgs rarely drop below 22 after a long day (8 runs; 4am;4pm). On the 8th I'll be doing an all day test and tune on a long course; potential of 40 runs. I'm interested to see how the mpgs fair following that.

Not necessarily all in your right foot. I get the worst mileage when I'm not touching the gas at all -- at idle, with the automatic, the car will get up to about 8-10 mph. When you're in that kind of traffic when you don't ever get above ten mph for three or four straight hours, and you spend most of the time at a dead stop on the highway (the kind where a 10 mile trip takes you an entire afternoon), that's when you really get lousy mileage.

So you are saying I get 0 mpg while idling? ;)

I jest...I understand you.

I'm sure any real congestion will suck the life out of the mileage.

The Coyote calls for Premium fuel..you know that right?

Just because it can run on 87 octane doesn't mean it's at it's best doing so. To get the full 435HP rating, you're going to have to run 93.

It calls for 87 octane. 93 is recommended to eek out the last few horsepower, but 87 is the requirement.

I can handle making only 425hp when it means a $.50 per gallon savings.

Im driving the v8 like a v8! Flooring it everywhere and taking it up to red line all the time. Maybe that is why my mpg is so bad . I drove my m3 the same way and I averaged 230 miles per tank but 170 in the mustang seems low.
Then why are you complaining so much? Lol. You should try an older gen esp the foxbody 5.0L or older V8s. You think this car gets bad gas mileage. My friends old 87' GT who he stomped on the gas all the time you could literally watch the fuel gauge drop infront of your eyes :D

We've come a really long way in MPG!

I only use 94 Octane in both my cars.

My 94 got 26mpg on long highway trips and 19mpg with mixed driving. Not too far off from where we are today...except we have double the horsepower.
