Poll: Parking your car for the winter.

Just wondering when you all park your car for the winter? Or if you do at all? I understand we all don't need to park for the winter months. You non hibernating guys/gals can chime in on the too.

But I will be parking my pony for a long winter slumber by the end of October and maybe sooner. :(

When I put my car up for winter depends on the weather it was early December last year.

Winter storage...

I had to put my EB convertible into winter storage last winter: fresh oil/filter, two coats of premium wax, put an additional 5 psi in each tire, each tire was driven onto water impermeable vinyl pads to block any moisture from migrating up from floor into the rubber, placed clothes softener sheets on floor pans (anti-varmint and clean smelling), connected high quality battery tender, put on light weight soft car cover, put the whole car into a 'Tyvec' storage bag (blocks accumulating dust, dirt and varmints) with dessicant bags to absorb any moisture, the Stang was stored in a machine shed. This spring I started it up and let in run in park for about 10 minutes to circulate coolant, oil and warm up auto trans. Drove it gently for about 20 miles. Absolutely no problems.

First snow is when she'll get parked. I drove my 95 GT until mid January last winter, and had it back out in early March. so depending on the weather is when mine goes into hibernation.

Yeah, but you are in Memphis. I was there last March. Your temps then we're in the 60s-70s. At that time I came from 6-8 feet high snow mounds.

You don't get winter. We have snow here until May and even then.... Ya never know. :cheers:

Both my Mustangs are driven all year round. Exception is , light to heavy snow.

We were hoping to be there for the Beale Street Music Festival, but we were a couple of weeks early. We were there for training and couldn't choose the date. Had a good time there anyway. :cheers:
