Why did they remove the hood vent turn signals on 2017'?

They might be useful with a dashcam to prove you signaled. My dashcam shows both vents easily, but otherwise they're useless.

They're pretty dumb. Once I figure out where the hell the end of the wire is inside the fender I'm taking mine out.
Why in the world would you remove them? They may not totally serve a purpose, but neither does removing them. While you're at it, you might as well remove the pony puddle lights, door sill lights, adjustable interior led colors etc.

Maybe it's me, but I just don't get it.

This article covers it: http://www.themustangnews.com/conte...n-signals-axed-for-2017-mustang/#.V8R_svkrIQ8

"The design of the hood and seating position precluded anyone in the car less than six-feet tall from seeing them at all. They were a design fail at best, a gimmick at worst. While some might miss them for sentimental reasons, anyone who’s driven a 2016 GT wont miss them as they’ve never seen them."
Sorry I love them, I am 5.6 and every time I put on my left hand indicator i like to see them flash, and the other day the bloke who let me into his lane said it looked well cool
and the dashcam picks them both up,
It was one of the reasons I bought a LHD and not the RHD Euro Stang

Well for one in the day light I can't even see it light up since it blends in with the color of the car. And two I would prefer to have more area to vent heat out from under the hood. My car has none of those other things you mentioned.

Still don't understand. If you can't see it, why does it matter?

Our cars don't have any cooling issues, so we have no need for any heat extractors. You would be adding something that is equally as unnecessary as the lights.

I'm not trying rag on you, I don't understand many things.

It's simple as paying homage to the 1968 Mustang. . .nothing more or less

I have a blower mounted on top of the engine, I'll take as much heat extraction as I can get.

I like mine. I cannot see the passenger one but can see my driver-side one. I am 5ft 9 for the record.

I'm 7'3 and can see both sides. I'm too tall for my rearview mirror though. I gotta look down to see it.

Yeah man. I'm half Somalian and half Kenyan. I'm 7"3 but only weigh 180.

The good news is I can steer the car with my knees!
