I will be ordering a stage 2 procharger Beefcake special, but I'm trying to do some things beforehand so I don't have too long of an install time since this is my only car. I will be doing a sound tube delete this week. I also wanted to order the 1 step cooler plugs and install them now as well. Is it ok to have them on a stock car? All I have is a catback.

If this is your only car I don't think wildly modding it a good idea.
Might wanna consider a beater.

I'm getting an suv for the winter and that will be my beater. Anything on the spark plugs?

Well depending on how long you are going to run it. A colder spark plugs might have more carbon deposit on it causing a poor spark if the coating is thick enough.

So is installing these before getting the supercharger a bad idea?

Did same as you...put plugs in before hand so less time on install. I am running NGK 6510's

I highly doubt putting plugs one heat range colder in will be a problem. If it was my car, I'd do it and not give it a second thought. The difference between heat ranges is not THAT large, it's not like they're going to start fouling out immediately.

No problem installing them before hand. Always put them in my nitros cars and your not always using the spray. Only ran the spray at the track.

The plug install is fairly easy so I would wait until you put the blower before installing the plugs. Run the NGK 6510 and don't look back.

What's the best gap? I know there was a pretty specific gap that the EBMs liked, and they liked 1 step colder, too. The plugs from the factory on the EBM had poor consistency in gapping, so it was recommended to change them out fairly early. What's the consensus for the 5.0?

I just finished up my Procharger install this past weekend. The ProCharger instructions recommend .035" which is what I went with. Runs great.

Not sure why you would want to rush installing these before the supercharger + tune. Does it really add that much time to put the plugs in while the head is disassembled?

Shouldn't you be using the factory gap recommendations?
