Useful videos ..... cheers for those.

However, one thing struck me immediately whilst reading the instructions (no, not the girlfriend :) ); once the passenger side bracket is on, it effectively means you can't easily remove the battery cover from the car. For this reason I think I may cut the hole as per the instructions but also make a cut in the cover from the hole to the edge, so in theory you should be able to slip that around the strut and remove the cover.

Didn't spot any mistakes, btw - I skipped through some bits so may have missed it - but things I wouldn't have done include wearing my watch, drilling anywhere near the car and leaving tools in precarious positions under the bonnet! ;)

Really appreciate what you provided us Enoch. Excellent mate!

So removing the battery cover right off will require removing the strut first to allow it to come off?

I had the same thoughts regarding the battery cover, and have already cut a slot in it:)

It's easy to spot when someone else does it! ..... they're exactly the kind of things I do, then get really annoyed when a spanner slips down into the engine bay or I scrape the paint with a metallic object ..... studs on jeans are the favourite! So i'm trying really hard with this car to think about every possible risk beforehand and mitigate it. How long that lasts remains to be seen! :D

Modified battery cover....to eliminate strut removal, if the cover needs to come of...
Cut with scissors:thumbsup:

I thought the Steeda struts were for RHD... assumed this meant they'd sorted out the battery cover issue.

...by supplying a battery cover which didn't cover the mount points? :)

I think the battery cover is an issue on both LHD and RHD but just different sides.
