Ambient Thermal Management (ATM) is now under new ownership and has just reintroduced its stepped core intercooler for the 2015-17 Mustang EcoBoost with even more finish options than before.
ATM is currently the only FMIC manufacturer producing a stepped core as one single assembly, and their FMIC offers superior cooling with a reported flow efficiency increase from 80% to 94%. This is thanks to the intercooler having an ambient face that is 108% larger than stock and an intercooler core designed with innovative rounded header bars which act as a velocity stock for the charge rows.
As ATM notes, the end result is an FMIC that is able to remove more temperature, meet the targeted air flow, and minimize the pressure drop in your EcoBoost Mustang.
