As we reported last week, Lund Performance has developed a tune for the 2015/2016 Shelby GT350 and this weekend, both Lund and Evolution Performance brought their GT350 shop cars to the Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland to test both vehicles’ quarter-mile times at the drag strip.
With less than optimal track prep, and after a few passes in the low 12s, driver Nelson Whitlock launched the Evolution Performance GT350 to a 11.96 @ 116.07 MPH quarter-mile (1.87 60′) with 325/30R19 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S drag radials, stock tune on 93 octane and BMR suspension parts.
Evolution Performance will be doing more serious track testing this week in a private session at Atco Dragway in Atco, New Jersey, so stay tuned as we are sure to see some tenths shaved off the ET. With any luck we’ll also see time slips on an E85 tune.
