The “Voodoo” engine of the next SVT / Shelby Mustang GT350 has long been rumored to be a 5.2L naturally aspirated V8 engine. A big discovery on Ford’s official parts website may have just confirmed it — along with many other interesting tidbits we reported earlier.
Digging through parts available for the 2015 Mustang, Mustang6G members spotted items related to different quarter panels and brakes equipment that have been marked for: “MOD 5.2L-TiVCT PFI NA HP1 GAS, With SVT Performance Pack.”
This is the first mention of a new, larger displacement V8 engine associated with the S550 Mustang that has appeared in official Ford literature and lends credence to what may be under the hood of the next high powered Mustang from the Special Vehicle Team.
