Mustang and Focus Only Cars Ford Will Sell in North America by 2020

Ford is dramatically accelerating its plans for a near-total shift from cars to trucks and SUVs by announcing that the Ford Mustang and Chinese-built Focus Active crossover will be the only two cars on the market in North America by 2020.

CEO Jim Hackett made the announcement yesterday during its first quarter earnings release that it will not produce the next generation of the Taurus, Fiesta, Fusion, C-Max and Focus sedans within a few years, thus eliminating its North American passenger car lineup by more than 80 percent.
