Ford Motor Company announced that they will be the main sponsor of the 2017 Woodward Dream Cruise which officially kicks off on August 19 this year, after Chevrolet decided to end a six-year run as the presenting sponsor of the annual event.
Ford will continue to hold its Mustang Alley event, now in its 19th year, in Ferndale, MI and will have a presence at four new locations along Woodward Avenue. Jim Owens, Ford Performance Marketing Manager, has said that Ford will have vehicle displays from Nine Mile Road all the way up to 15 Mile Road, filled with Ford’s performance car lineup — including the new Cobra Jet and the Boss 302S.
This year’s Mustang Alley event is promised to be the largest one ever and Ford will use the opportunity to showcase the new 2018 Mustang which hits dealer showrooms later this year.
