Ford Appoints New CEO, Jim Hackett, In Big Leadership Shakeup

Ford Motor Company has just announced today a major corporate management shakeup starting from the very top with the retirement of CEO Mark Fields.

Fields will be replaced by the head of the Ford Smart Mobility LLC subsidiary, James P. Hackett, who was former CEO of Steelcase, the office furniture company.

Ford also named leaders to three new roles under Hackett, with Jim Farley appointed as executive vice president and president of Global Markets, Joe Hinrichs as vice president and president of Global Operations and Marcy Kevorn as executive vice president and president of Mobility.
