Early last month, Shelby American introduced its new post-title 2017 Shelby GTE Mustang which the company unveiled during the Mustang Club of America’s 40th anniversary celebrations at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

This weekend the first production Shelby GTE, CSM 17GTE0002, was auctioned for charity at the Barrett Jackson Las Vegas auction where it sold for $150,000 to benefit the Grant A Gift Autism Foundation.

Unique to this vehicle and not offered on any other production Shelby GTE is a custom charcoal carbon fiber stripe package and powder coated Kenne Bell Supercharger in Platinum White Metallic to match the car — the first of its kind.

Standard 2017 Shelby GTE features include Ford Performance cat-back exhaust, Ford Performance handling pack, Ford Performance wheels with Shelby special performance tires, unique GTE hood and vents, Shelby upper and lower grilles, Shelby rocker panels, rear spoiler and GTe striping and badging.

Optional features on this auctioned vehicle include supercharger, gauge pod, aluminum coolant tank and carbon fiber front splitter.
