We just received official word today that some Mustangs/GT500s for the 2021 model year will be cancelled because of commomdity shortages. Ford will be rescheduling these orders for 2022. The team at Ford is exploring options to protect retail customers, with more information that will be available soon.

Sorry to say that we are going to have 12 total Mach 1s that were for retail customers get cancelled. @Jay at Granger will be reaching out over the next couple days for our customers who have been impacted by the change.

This is the first time we've experienced something like this, in this magnitude and I can certainly understand the frustration of those of you who have ordered. We are going to lock in our discount and I would encourage those of you who visit with Jay to get the 2022 order placed ASAP. It sounds like receipt of the 2022 order will determine timing of delivery.

Again, I appreciate your understanding and patience with this unforseen issue.

Keep in mind any 2022 Mach 1 order placed with us will receive a discount of 2% under dealer invoice and I'd encourage an order sooner to help expedite 2022 delivery.

This will be nice for low final production #'s of the 2021 model. :)

The '21 Mach1 (by virtue of "reduced production count")will have the same extra value as the '20 Bullitt. Ie. none.

It's a damn shame for the cancelled folks. Hopefully nobody loses a color choice.

Zach, are these all HP cars, Tremecs, etc?

I'm also guessing this isn't the final wave of cancellations sadly

Totally sucks for those waiting for month and months. Gotta look at the bright-side of things or it will just eat at you. If you havent received the 2021 yet, chances are you would get it late or end of year... So at least you get a 2022 and a not lose a year.

I mean its probably moot point if you were to keep it for 10 years. But ya it totally sucks

Thank you Zach for being transparent and upfront with us,

Granger has been a great resource for this community.

Very difficult for those with orders, I feel for those guys.

is yours going to squeeze into production in time???????????
I’m not sure. I have not been able to find a similar build for sale anywhere.

Just got an email from Jay, mine is not in the first round of cuts.

so, hanging in there atm. Not holding my breath tbh though.

i am really glad I went w/ the dealer I did, zach and jay have been great, quick and open/honest good news or bad. Even if I get screwed by Ford, I’ll recommend granger to everyone.

There's no other way around it, this absolutely sucks for the people who have been waiting for their car for the last few months only to get slapped this across the table. I talked to a guy the other day who ordered a week after I did, placed mine on April 20th and he around the 1st of May. I took delivery of mine 1st week of August and he is still getting emails about his date being pushed back. Absolutely crap situation for everyone.

At this point, isnt it a matter of production lines needing to change to build 2022 MY? If they had 2021 remaining to build, could make for a messy situation. Just a guess

Ford had a blow out quarter yesterday on revenues and forecasted higher than expected revenues for future quarters. Also commented that their supply chain is improving and better than GM. Whatever..

So to me it almost feels like part of this is to make it seem that Ford is catching up on production and back inline for 2022 estimates. Messing with the numbers. Again just my opinion.

Fucking sucks for every one of you guys. Ford should stop building all the ecoboost and gt cars and prioritize only Mach 1’s and shelbys until the last day. Those can wait until next year.
