Here’s some new GT500 footage featuring some tracking, drag strip and engine teardown by Ford engineers.
Ford Performance also shares some interesting stats behind GT500 testing:
– 10 prototype GT500 were tracked during development
– 53 foot semi trailer was used to carry parts and tire
– Testing was performed at many tracks, including VIR, Sebring, NOLA , GingerMan, Grattan, Buttonwillow
– More than 280 sets of tires recycled after 6,700 high speed laps
