When it debuted, Ford made a bold claim that the 2018 Mustang GT can accelerate zero to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, and Cars.com recently put that claim to the test.
By testing a performance package (level 1) 2018 Mustang GT with the 10-speed slushbox and in drag mode — the vehicle benefited not just from aggressive gearing and quick shifting, but also the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires — all of which helped these journos run the vehicle to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds on just their third run.
For fun, they also did some 1/4 mile runs and managed 11.98 @ 119 mph.
