Back in 2013, we posed the question “what do you think the 2015 Mustang sales numbers and take rate will be for each engine.” It’s hard to believe we’re already talking about the 2018 Mustang, and now nearly four years later we may have some data to answer that question.
Mustang6G member Agent_S550 obtained some 2015 production numbers that are reportedly straight from the OEM. The data shows that Ford produced 110,648 Mustangs in the United States in 2015 with roughly 40% of those being the 5.0L V8 Mustang GT.
The Mustang EcoBoost came in a close second with about 35% of all Mustangs produced domestically and the V6 with a still respectable one-quarter produced in 2015.
