Since we first featured the 2015 Mustang GT “Project 6G” build by Dusold Designs, they have been hard at work turning their 2015 Mustang into the ultimate SCCA, time trial and Ultimate street car competitor, as they said they would.
For starters, after putting down 395 RWHP and 367 RWTQ on a Dynojet dynamometer, Dusold took its stock S550 Mustang to its first track day to baseline the car before undergoing extensive modifications. Dusold, along with Vorshlag who is co-developing suspension for this car, took the new Mustang for some timed laps and their results completely blew them away.
Dusold and accomplished NASA autocrosser, Terry Fair of Vorshlag, reported that they were able to lap between 2.5 to 4 seconds faster than the Boss 302 that they tested. Terry Fair even drove the two cars back-to-back for a true comparison.
