2015 Ford Mustang Named Official Car of 2014 CES

Ford introduced a host of new technologies and features when it unveiled the 2015 Mustang on December 5, 2013.  It should be no surprise then that the 2015 Mustang was recently named the Official Car of the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is set to kick off on January 7, 2014 in Las Vegas.  The next-generation Mustang will be prominently displayed in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center and the convertible will be on display at Ford’s main display area in the North Hall.

The new technologies to be shown in the 2015 Mustang are Ford’s updated SYNC connectivity system, MyFord Touch, appLink, intelligent access, track apps, launch control and adaptive cruise control.  There have also been recent rumors of a “secret” new feature that chief engineer, Dave Pericak, said would be an “OEM first.”  Many have speculated that this new feature could be an electronic burnout control.  If so, it could be one of the many technologies to be shown off on January 7th at CES.

As you may remember, the Ford Evos concept, which previewed many of Ford’s new technology features, was also displayed in the Ford exhibit at the International CES in 2012.
