As a final tribute to the S197 Mustang, we attended press day of the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This will be the final auto show before the 2015 Mustang debuts on December 5, 2013.
Of note was the large 50 years Mustang Countdown display wall featuring a photo montage of Mustang owners and their vehicles across the world. Of the Mustangs on display, the Need For Speed “Hero” Mustang made an appearance which many have indicated provides a preview of a few design elements which will make its way to the S550 Mustang. Ford also had a beautiful 1965 GT350 Mustang signed by Carroll Shelby, displayed prominently on a pedestal — no doubt a sign of things to come in the near future.
