Could someone recommend what buffer (not expensive please) and products to use on black painted cars to restore the paint? My 06 Expo is really swirly and I'd also like to keep the new Magnetic S550 looking good.

I have a dual action polisher from harbor freight and it works like a dream. I'd get that over the orbital because it has a clutch which prevents it from rotating when too much pressure is applied. It also has two axis of rotation so that it's never focus at the same spot all the time. Basically, it's nearly impossible to burn through your clear coat.

As far as wax, with a black car, you can't go wrong with blackfire wet diamond. You can get it on autogeek.

I bought a cheapo turtle wax orbital . The first one quit working after a week. But turtle wax sent me a new one no problem.

It works well enough , id say its at 75% effectiveness compared to the better ones.

I had great results when used with meguiars NXT 2.0 wax.
