On my 2019 GT, I plug my Pixel 3XL in so I can run Waze through Android Auto. If I receive a phone call, and I hit the touchscreen to answer, I get dead air. The person on the other end can't hear me, and I can't hear them, so they typically hang up. Using bluetooth, I get calls no problem. I can MAKE calls while connected to AA as well.

I checked for a Sync update (I was on 3.3-something, updated last fall). There was an update to 3.4... so I installed that today, but it still does the same thing.

I swear I google these things, and nothing comes up. Then I post here, google again, and lo and behold, a solution! I needed to set the ringtone in the phone settings in the car to "use phone ringtone", and it solved the problem!

What’s important is that you’ve solved the issue. Glad I got you going. 👍
