Was this held at Vanguard? They had a 48 Ford I wanted a few years ago, but I was too late. I love that 54 Willys and altered wheel base 65 Dodge. I think Willys also owned Henry J. Both were short and very light, so you saw a lot of them used as gassers back in the 60s. We ran a 54 Willys in D/Gas many years ago. We switched to the Willys when our 57 Thames did a giant wheelie and broke the frame in two when it came down. Those were the good old days!
The 33, 40 and 41 Willys were the ultimate A and B gas class cars back in the 60s. The 40/42 Willys coupe is still a very popular pro street car. though most are fiberglass replicas. Google "Stone, Woods and Cook", "Ohio George" and "K.S. Pittman".
