I think we may see halogens for the base. Unfortunately. Is Ford going to retain the HID-headlights-for-all-models approach for 2015?
Were the headlamps different, other than halogen or HID? The pony badge was chrome for the V6 and black chrome for the GT, but I didn't notice the headlamps were.Just like the '10-'12 models...V6=Chrome, GT=Black Chrome
That would be pitiful, and an unacceptable compromise.I think we may see halogens for the base. Unfortunately.
Hitting the reset button is not always a good thing.
IMO a Halogen that looks like a projector is no better than a fake hood scoop. Don't do it unless it is functional.Personally, I wouldn't mind as ling as they made them look like projectors, a la Gen. 1 Mazda3.
If that is the case that is disappointing. It should cost anything to upgrade to a HID headlight -- especially when they are standard now. It should be standard on the 2015 cars. We're getting both halogens and HIDs as an option.
Considering the HID lighting is standard in the 2013/2014 Mustang, it would be silly to revert to having them be optional on the 2015.If that is the case that is disappointing. It should cost anything to upgrade to a HID headlight -- especially when they are standard now. It should be standard on the 2015 cars.
One thing Ford fails on is the small details -- lighting, wimpy tires, antennas, fake scoops, etc.
I agree 100%. I have said for years that all Mustang models should have LED lighting, HIDs, and Sync as standard fare across the lineup. The 2013MY was really close to my "ideal" car. I wasn't happy to hear they chose to go back to halogens as a standard lamp.If that is the case that is disappointing. It should cost anything to upgrade to a HID headlight -- especially when they are standard now. It should be standard on the 2015 cars.

Unfortunately Ford fans have been dealing with this for years on all cars, not just the Mustang.Do we have to wait 3 years for the first refresh before we catch up? :(
Including the price. They just "cheap" out on some things.
