Interesting that the white '17 GT mule is still sporting single exhaust tips......all the GT mules we saw last year had the dual tips......and it's way too late to be test anything that imminent for production

Where are you getting this information from? My current 15 premium auto weighs 4010 including a 270pound driver! I seriously doubt they are adding 300 pounds of sh!t to the 18s.

Lots of extra plumbing for DI. Add a spare tire kit and fully optioned, it easily could reach 2 tons.

As for Camaro, thatís GMís epic Alpha platform which originally was designed for the Cadillac V Series and gifted as a hand me down to Camaro courtesy of GMís creditors and taxpayers. There may not be a lighter, more rigid, non-CF chassis in the world. Thatís why Camaro actually drives so well - and why anything Mustang manages to wring from S550 is a bloody miracle by comparison.

It's info I have received from a dealer here in Sweden. Also one of the info stickers from Frankfurt auto show was showing the same

Edit: found it, it's actually stating 4173lbs (1893 kg)

You sure thats not the maximum vehicle weight? As in full fuel, 4 people in the car and luggage in the boot?

If this car is really over 1800kg without a person in it then I could just simply end up cancelling my order, as it would be slower than outgoing models if its gained nearly 100kg.

As such it has to be maximum vehicle weight as Ford hinted this car is quicker, which if it was over 100kg heavier it would not be faster.

This most likely is the new Euro norm weight which is defined as the actual vehicle weight + 100kg.

When I had a Focus RS ordered I remember there being something about European car weights are counted as if there is a driver in the vehicle.

At 1684kg and 1697kg, isn't that basically the same as the 15-17?

Yep, just looked at the 17 website. The same. Maybe 18 specs page hasn't been updated.

Even with this it doesn't sound right (still 100kg too much). More likely a vehicle weight +200kg is more right

Have you all noticed the local dealers showing the cars as "in transit" and you can view the window stickers?

Examples: http://www.lamarque.com/new-inventor...-anchor-year-1

Checking stickers and COTUS, most of the cars I see listed on dealer web sites as "In Transit" are actually just scheduled for production. Out of about a dozen vehicles checked I found just one that was actually built and waiting for shipment.

I'm watching for an OF car to be delivered nearby so I can finally see the color in person and make a decision. Just four in the system within 100 miles. One OF Shelby an hour away is awaiting shipment and one across town is scheduled for production this week.

I'm kind of surprised to Shelbys coming off the line up front but I suppose they want to get those into the showrooms.
